Balingtai is an important node of the Micang Ancient Road and a worship site for ancient Bazhong people. It integrates Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism. 

The scenic area boasts historical sites and cultural heritages such as the written "Balingtai" and "Balingtai Fu" by Wu Daoning, a successful candidate in the imperial examination of the Qianlong period (Gengchen 1760), and Changningzhai, Guanlou, and others.
