The 8th Sichuan Guangwu Mountain International Ice & Snow Festival kicked off on Dec 31, 2022 in Daba Ski Resort of Guangwu Mountain in Bazhong, a city in Sichuan province.

Bazhong aimed to win widespread attention from enthusiasts along with cultural and tourism enterprises through the development of ice & snow leisure.

The annual festival incorporated recreation, sports and cuisine into the appreciation of ice & snow and rolled out diverse activities to add more atmosphere to the celebration of New Year and Spring Festival. 

During the past few years, Sichuan has witnessed stunning growth in its winter tourism and ice & snow economy. 

The ice & snow festival has been held for eight years and it has played a leading role in driving the overall development of tourism in the whole region. 

The annual festival will run till Feb 28, 2023.
