Bazhou district of Bazhong, Sichuan province and the School of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development at Renmin University of China (RUC) held a symposium and signing ceremony for their collaboration on Aug 28th.

Zeng Bingjian, Party secretary of the School of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development of RUC, and Yu Bin, secretary of the Bazhou District Committee delivered speeches at the event.

During the symposium, Zeng Bingjian provided a detailed introduction to the history, talent cultivation, and scientific research of RUC. He stated that the School of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development at RUC, taking this signing and award ceremony as an opportunity, will fully leverage its advantages, focus on talent cultivation, cadre exchange, technological innovation, and rural revitalization, and provide intellectual support and conduct in-depth collaboration with the Bazhou district to jointly promote high-quality rural revitalization.

Yu Bin, representing the district committee and government, warmly welcomed Zeng Bingjian and his delegation. He mentioned that Bazhou is in the heart of China, with eight expressways passing through it, an airport connecting to 18 major cities, and the Hanzhong-Bazhong-Nanchong high-speed railway soon to be put into operation. The transportation infrastructure continues to improve, and the location has its advantages.   

Yu stated that Bazhou has a long history, beautiful natural landscapes, and a pleasant ecological environment. Currently, Bazhou is at a key period of the initiation of modernization construction. He sincerely hopes that both parties can deepen cooperation and mutually promote win-win outcomes in terms of party building interaction, talent cultivation, rural revitalization, grassroots governance, inter-school cooperation, and investment attraction. This will inject new vitality, explore new paths, and contribute new strength to the high-quality development of the collaboration between the university and the district.

During the symposium, Vice Dean Zhong Zhen from the School of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development of RUC, and Vice District Governor Zhou Yonghong from Bazhou, introduced the relevant situations of their collaboration. Student representatives and representatives from district-level departments also delivered speeches.

Following the symposium, a signing ceremony for the establishment of a talent cultivation teaching practice base, as well as the awarding ceremony for the "Teaching Practice Base of the School of Agricultural Economics and Rural Development of RUC (Sichuan · Bazhou)" and the "China Rural Revitalization Typical Observation Alliance of One Hundred Counties," were held.
